How to Enable USDT (TRC-20, ERC-20) in Fireblocks Sandbox?

Hello Fireblocks Team,

I am currently testing in the Fireblocks Sandbox environment and need to enable USDT on both TRC-20 (Tron) and ERC-20 (Ethereum) networks. However, when I try to create a new wallet, I only see test assets like “TRX_TEST” and “USD Coin Test (Tron),” but USDT (TRC-20, ERC-20) is not available.

Could you please provide guidance on:

  1. How to enable USDT (TRC-20, ERC-20) in the sandbox?
  2. If it is not listed, is there a way to manually add it?
  3. Does the sandbox environment support TRC-20 transactions at all?

Any documentation or steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards,

Hi @LeeSeungsoo – the Sandbox environment only supports testnet assets. Mainnet assets like USDT will only be available in production workspaces.

I am currently testing in the Fireblocks Sandbox environment and would like to know if it supports TRON’s testnets: Shasta and Nile.

Specifically, I would like to ask:

  1. Can I use the Shasta or Nile testnet within the Fireblocks Sandbox?
  2. If not, is there any way to connect Fireblocks to these testnets for testing purposes?
  3. Are there any alternative ways to test TRON transactions within the sandbox?

It would be very helpful if you could provide documentation or guidance on this.

Thank you!

@LeeSeungsoo – certainly! We support the Shasta testnet for Tron. You can add the Shasta TRX wallet through the console or API (asset ID will be TRX_TEST). Adding TRC/ERC20 assets is supported through the sandbox as well, instructions here.
