When I receive the Webhook, I always see customerRefId as null. What is customerRefId and when will it be different from null?

Hi @charlie

Please see this Help Center [article](https://support.fireblocks.io/hc/en-us/articles/8333722214428-Customer-Reference-ID) that talks more about the Customer Reference ID.

I should also add that AML integration is a premium feature that requires additional purchase.

The `customerRefId` is used for [End Client Identification](https://developers.fireblocks.com/docs/associating-end-clients-with-transactions#amlcft-identification-purposes), specifically for [AML/CFT identification purpose](https://developers.fireblocks.com/docs/associating-end-clients-with-transactions#amlcft-identification-purposes:~:text=that%20deposit%20address.-,AML/CFT%20identification%20purposes,-%E2%9D%97%EF%B8%8F).

Hi @Wilfred, I used customerRefId to create a deposit address and deposit to this address, but customerRefId in the webhook is still null

Hey @charlie!

The customerRefId will propagated if you have configured an AML integration.
The usage here is only for AML.

If you are looking for a way to correlate deposit addresses to users you should use the description parameter of the deposit address or the vault account name for the entire vault account.

You can find more information here:

> **[Associate End Clients](https://developers.fireblocks.com/docs/associating-end-clients-with-transactions)**
>
> Overview You may want to or be required to add end-client identification information to vault accounts and wallets. Depending on the purpose, you can use different endpoints and parameters to do this. Internal or auditing identification purposes...
