# API authentication error

Since a few days ago, we have been unable to use the Fireblocks API, even though we haven’t changed anything on our side.

```auto
{ "message": "Unauthorized: Error creating public key from user certificate", "code": -7 }

```

What could be causing this issue?

This error code refers to failing to authenticate your API request. Please double-check that you’re using the right API key and secret, and the API URL for the right environment: [Help article](https://developers.fireblocks.com/docs/get-to-know-fireblocks-workspaces#workspace-types).

Thanks for your reply. It was working until now and we havn’t change anything on authentification
